Essentials of Neuroscience Course

CPRDC collaborated with the AEIRC on The Essentials of Neuroscience Course, which was designed to give participants a comprehensive introduction to neuroscience through eight broad topics. Dr. Sadaf Ahmed was a keynote lecturer of the event.

Meeting with Dr. Faisal

CPRDC members attended a meeting with Dr. Faisal. During the meeting, future plans between CPRDC and SK Hospital were discussed to advance Health Sciences in Pakistan. Many synergies between CPRDC and Shaukat Khanam Hospital are in sight.

World Pharmacy Day Conference

CPRDC and AEIRC collaborated together on World Pharmacy Day to host a conference and poster presentation at Jinnah University in Karachi with the theme of Innovations in Pharmacotherapy and Disease Management. Dr. Humera Tariq attended this event on CPRDC’s behalf.

Collaboration with UofT to create positions for doctoral candidates

The Canada Pakistan Research & Development Council, with the help of Prof. Shamim, created positions for three doctoral candidates at the University of Toronto with the support of Canadian academics and scientists (two for training in Civil Engineering and one Health Sciences). Candidates for training in civil engineering joined their programs in September 2018.
