Mr. Abdul Hameed is the Consul General of Pakistan in Toronto. A graduate of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, he worked in various capacities during the last 23 years at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad. Earlier, he worked in the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations, New York for five years. During this period, he also represented his country in the Security Council during Pakistan’s tenure as a non-permanent member of the Council (2012-13). He attended several sessions of the General Assembly, Security Council, the Non-Aligned Movement and specialized Committees of the Security Council.
